The Agastya Tree (アガスティアの木, Agasutia-no ki)?, also known as the Augustus Tree, is a significant element in Megami Ibunroku Persona.
Appearances[]
History[]
The name Agastya is credited to a Vedic sage who, alongside his followers, wrote the scriptures of the Rig Veda.
The Agastya Tree's unusual reddish-purple foliage occurs elsewhere in nature. Fruits use the color to attract seed-scattering herbivores, and since chlorophyll only uses red and blue light for photosynthesis, some plants use the reddish-purple anthocyanin as a kind of sunscreen; it absorbs blue-green and ultraviolet light, which protects their foliage from excessive sunlight.
Profile[]
The Agastya Tree acts as a save point for the party and is found throughout the game.

Trivia[]
- In the PSP remake, the number of Agastya Trees in the game has been increased compared to the original release. However, all Agastya trees were removed from the three towers in the Snow Queen Quest, to prevent the party accidentally locking themselves into an unwinnable scenario if they save without much time left.
