Nadja is a surrealist French novel from 1928, named after a major character, a mad woman who the book's narrator takes an interest in. Over the course of the novel, he deals with his perception of her; as mysterious, demystified, and finally unknowable once more.
The name may come from the Russian word for hope, "Nadezda" or the English/French stemming from it, "Nadia", but there is no definitive answer.
In Megami Tensei, she appears as a mysterious fairy girl with green eyes and brown skin, wearing a short, white dress and a bone necklace.
Shin Megami Tensei II[]
Nadja is found by Aleph in the underground ruins leading up to the Factory prison, lost in a room. Thinking him cute, she'll join the party, regardless of Aleph's level. When Aleph finds Hiroko, Nadja can merge with her, increasing Hiroko's stats by one point each.
