Cassiel, name meaning "Speed of God," is an archangel and the archangel of time in post-biblical Judeo-Christian mythology, appearing mostly in the Kabbalah. Unlike most angels, he is known for simply watching events of the cosmos unfold with little interference. He is the angel of solitude and tears and presides over the deaths of kings.
