Polydeuces is a Persona in the series.

History

Polydeuces (also known as Pollux) was the younger twin brother of Castor and both were known as the Dioscuri or Hero Twins. Both Castor and Polydeuces had the same mother, Leda, but Polydeuces' father was Zeus, while Castor's father was a mortal man named Tyndareus; because of this, Castor was mortal while Polydeuces was immortal. When Castor died, Polydeuces asked Zeus to let him share his own immortality with his twin to keep them together and they were transformed into the Gemini constellation.

Trivia

• Akihiko Sanada's Japanese voice actor, Hikaru Midorikawa, commented on Persona Stalker Club that he was terrified by Polydeuces's design at first glance.
• Shinjiro Aragaki's Persona Castor shares some design elements from Polydeuces, namely from his long blond hair and the square materials on his body. Their shoes and gloves look the same as well, with the difference being their color.
  • The two Persona's similar designs to one another may be a reference to their mythology as being brothers as well as the relationship between Akihiko and Shinjiro.
