Zouchouten (増長天), also known by the Sanskrit name Virūḍhaka, is the guardian deity that guards the South of Buddha's realm. His name means "lengthening good deeds among mortals." He has green skin and leads the troop of kumbhandas and pretas. His statues usually carry either a sword or polearm.

He holds a spear, and has been assigned by Lord Sakra with protecting the southern domains of Mount Neru. Zouchouten was originally the ruler of the gods. He is considered the God of Harvest and the King of the Kumbhanda."

Zouchouten appears alongside the other kings in Ichigaya Camp's gold-level instance. He can be summoned by defeating the Kumbhanda mini-boss in the basement levels.
Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne[]
Zouchou appears as a guardian of the Bandou Shrine. He will be guarding the second pillar from the bottom of the area. Zouchou will follow a pattern of using Dragon Eye, Makakaja, and the Electricity skills Ziodyne, Maziodyne and Bolt Storm. Should a member of the Demi-fiend's party be inflicted with Shock, Zouchou will use Beast Eye and Focus, followed by a physical attack to the afflicted ally. Using a demon that drains/repels Electric attacks will eat up his extra press turns and he will take damage from repelled Electric skills.
Zouchouten is found in 3F of Sector Eridanus, and offers a challenge to the protagonist: defeat him without using any demons that have recovery skills. Successfully beating him unlocks him for fusion, and he drops a rare forma that is used to form the Double Down, Hercules and Orion Sub-Apps.
Shin Megami Tensei IV[]
Zouchouten is faced in the Challenge QuestTokyo Cosmo. He is found in the Oimachi area of Tokyo Bay region. He appears alongside the other three heavenly kings once all four have been defeated to be fought as a group.

Zouchouten and the rest of the Four Heavenly Kings guard the temples that contain the jars of Aether which maintain the Tokugawa Mandala for the Divine Powers. Zouchouten can be found in the Nansekiji Temple, guarding the jar of Aether which contains the essence of Lust. Defeating Zouchouten will unlock him for fusion in the Cathedral of Shadows.
Zouchouten can teach Nanashi the Agidyne, Dream Fist, Sukunda and Grand Tack skills through his Demon Whisper. He benefits from learning Physical, Gun, Fire and support skills, however, his tendency to raise his Magic stat at level up will result in greater damage from the Fire skills.

Zouchouten is a member of the Kishin race and can be found as a punishing foe in South Shinagawa.
If the protagonist has the Lord's Sword earned from passing the Arahabaki's trial at the Fairy Village, Zouchouten's memories are reawakened and he offers to spar with the protagonist at full power in his own sidequest. Zouchouten will be greatly powered up with a new moveset and four Press Turns. After his defeat, Zouchouten will give the protagonist his blessing and grant him his Essence.

Zouchouten is a Persona of the Chariot Arcana. Like the rest of the members of the Four Heavenly Kings, Zouchouten uses his updated model/artwork that first debuted in Devil Survivor in this version of the game rather than his old model/artwork.

Zouchouten cannot learn Giant Slice via level up anymore, with Kill Rush taking its place. When itemized through Electric Chair execution, Zouchouten will now yield the Spark Ringaccessory, which allows the wearer to use Zionga. During a fusion alarm, Zouchouten will yield the Spiral Spark Ring accessory instead, which allows the wearer to use Mazionga.

Devil Survivor[]
Zouchou is one of the four Devas that protect the barrier between the demon and human worlds. On every ending save for Yuzu's, in order to gain access to the demon world (and thus, Babel) the protagonist's party needs to dismantle the barrier that the Devas protect. After Bishamon's defeat, Zouchou challenges the party with Koumoku, planning to make up for their lack of power with numbers.
Koumoku and Zouchou are unlocked for fusion after the protagonist defeats them.
