Forums: Index > The Cathedral > Force, Wind, And Blast

It was brought up on both my talk page and Zahlzeit's about how some games treat Wind and Force as the same thing. However, the first Persona game treats Force as a subtype of magic, consisting of Nuclear, Gravity, Electricity and Blast, that is actually opposed to Wind and the other elements, Fire, Ice, and Earth. Of the spell types that fall under Force, Blast appears to closely refer to what some games refer to as Force, what with having the Zan line of spells. So are Force (aside from it's vaguer definition in Persona of course) and Blast the same thing, represented by the Zan line, and Wind, represented by the Garu line, is separate? However some games, such as Nocturne and the Devil Survivor games, that call it Force and have Zan spells have other spells that are blatantly Wind themed. However, I have noticed that the Garu line is never referred to as "Force" and the Zan line is never referred to as "Wind". So is Force Wind? Is Blast Force? Do we merge pages, or split them?--Otherarrow 21:38, April 16, 2012 (UTC)

I say merge them UNLESS you can actually make the pages meaty enough to stand on their own. Zahlzeit 20:07, April 18, 2012 (UTC)
Sorry for taking a while to get back to this. They are already more or less merged (though I am not merging the Force spells as they are in Persona. That would be more problematic). However, that doesn't answer my question. Is Garu/Wind the same element as Zan/Blast/Force? There is at least one game where they are completely separate, and, to my knowledge, there is no game where they coexist and are the same element, or a game where Zan is Wind or Garu is Force.--Otherarrow 16:01, April 21, 2012 (UTC)
Hold on. -- Zahlzeit 18:03, April 26, 2012 (UTC)
