I've heard that Gaia represents Chaos, power and triumph, I wander how the goddess Gaia represent such an alignment? Express your views and a good reason.

I've done some research and the connection between Gaia and Chaos is much like how Lucifer is opposed to God. According to Greek myth, Gaia appears as a prime opponent to the heavenly gods, the same way Lucifer is an opponent to God. She opposed Uranus for sealing away the Cyclopes and the Hecatonchires, two of her offspring. She had Cronus sort him out and when he imprisoned those same sons, she helped Zeus overthrow him. But Gaia opposed Zeus for imprisoning her Titan sons in Tartarus. It is similar to how Lucifer used to work for God but rebelled against him, but for different reasons.

The only difference is, mythology states that Lucifer and his demons try to tempt people while Gaia does not.

I dunno, Gaia having Cronos cut off Ouranos's manmeat to let him become leader of the Titans was pretty dirty pool. >.>; Great Mara 23:28, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

The only reason Gaia did that was because Ouranos caused great anguish to her by throwing the Titans and the Hecatoncheirs into Tartarus, which just so happens to be Gaia's bowels. Added to that they were Gaia's children, so she did because she was saddened, angered and hurt be Ouranos' actions. Probably proof that Gaia would not do anything bad unless she felt something had to be done. GalaxiaWild 13:11, July 24, 2010 (UTC)
