Forums: Index > The Cathedral > PSA: Do NOT impulsively add information
I thought this didn't need to be said but I guess I'll just remind you guys.
This is a factual based wiki, or at least resembles one. Do NOT impulsively add information when it JUST hits the fan on sites like Tumblr, Reddit, etc., especially more so if you don't post proof or cite your sources. Yes, I was there for the Adachi SL reveal too but you all end up looking like an ass, and making us look like retards if you were wrong. Just sit on those hands when you have uncertain information. -- Zahlzeit 02:15, June 16, 2012 (UTC)
- So if like new images pop up of new things, should they be discussed on the talk pages first? --Bettafishrule2579 02:34, June 16, 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah. I mean like the other day we had an "image" from the Naoto manga and it turned out to just be an extremely well drawn Pixiv fanart. -- Zahlzeit 03:15, June 16, 2012 (UTC)
- Ohh. That must have looked very convincing. --Bettafishrule2579 03:31, June 16, 2012 (UTC)

I know I'm beating a dead horse but this is an example of why you shouldn't impulsively add information: http://i.imgur.com/K03Re.jpg -- Zahlzeit 05:57, June 16, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm just going to come in here and say that if you are adding info for a new, Japanese only hot off the presses game and such, it would help to have a source, unless you are fine with not being believed. Of course, as Zahlzeit's image showed, your source might not be reliable and will probably be nitpicked to hell anyway, but at least then we can say you were misinformed at worst.--Otherarrow 14:39, June 16, 2012 (UTC)
