Fuxi (鳧渓), or Fukei (フケイ, Fukei)^?, is a demon in the series.

History

Not to be confused with another Chinese deity named Fuxi (伏羲) of the three primogenitors of Chinese civilization and the creator of I-Ching. According to the Shanhai Jing, this legendary bird is said to inhabit Mount Tai (Taishan) in China. Whenever it appears war follows. It has the face of fierce man and the body of a cock and cries its own name. Legend has it that it was spotted right before the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War.

Shin Megami Tensei IV

"An ominous bird of Chinese lore. Its name is derived from the sounds it makes when it cries. Note it has no relation to Fu Xi the emperor/god, which is spelled differently in Chinese. It appears in the Xishan Jing chapter of the book Shan Hai Jing. It has the body of a rooster and the head of a human with a cockscomb and pointed ears. The appearence of a Fukei is a bad omen, a sign that war is about to break out. "

Fuxi appears in the 1st and 2nd stratums of Naraku. He can teach Flynn the Zan and Patra skills through his Demon Whisper.
