Judgement Sword appears as a sub-boss found on the 171st floor of Tartarus in a group of three. They impede the player's progress and must be beaten to proceed. It later reappears as a normal enemy in the Harabah Block of Tartarus, between floors 202 to 213, and as a boss on the 10th floor of Antenora, accompanying the Brave Wheel and Ice Raven.
A good strategy for defeating them is to use Tentarafoo for easy criticals, if Mitsuru is sufficiently leveled she may have it. The persona Byakko may be useful for this fight as it drains Electricity and is strong against Slash attacks. The Gae Bolg spear may also be useful for damaging the shadows, due to its Wind elemental attack.
A Judgement Sword again appears as a boss encounter in Antenora within the Abyss of Time, alongside an Ice Raven and Brave Wheel. The Judgement Sword will stick to attacking with the occasional Marakunda to lower the party's defense. If any party members Null, Repel, or Drain Electricity attacks, the Judgement Sword will use Elec Break to strip away that defense. If the other two shadows are defeated first, it may also start using the Mighty Swing skill to attack the party. After being defeated, the Judgement Sword will drop the Thunder Element barter item.
Judgment Sword appears in the 4th through 6th Worlds of Magatsu Mandala within the Midnight Channel. It will boost itself with Matarukaja before attacking with physical strikes. Once defeated, it may drop a Spark Ornament. Selling 8 Spark Ornaments will unlock the Yahiro Sword for the protagonist in the shop.
In Golden, Judgment Sword may boost its defense with Marakukaja. It can increase its critical rate using Revolution, and attacks with a heavy multi-target physical skill.
