Why do the pages on Persona 3 and 5 protagonists still say 'Protagonist' even though we are aware of their canon names?
I'd understand if the names were anime-only names. But their names appear in their respective dancing game trailers (Even if it's written in Japanese) and in the second trailers for both dancing games, their names were shown in English.
Their names even appear in English before the song begins
The same reason we don't move the names for any adaptation: it isn't definitively canon and thus not definitively what these characters will be called. You didn't need huge screenshots to show me something I already knew, btw.
Please, wait until the game comes out. If it has a proper story mode or w/e and shows itself to be canon, then we will move the pages and what not. We've already discussed this.
If you don't mind, could you check my latest message for Great Mara, it'd be super helpful if you do :D.
Also, I think this editor insisted to put Akechi's age as 18 and when I told them to "actually" put it inside the page, they don't seem to understand and only leave it on the summary, not the page. I leave this matter to you since admins are people who have the power to make major decision like this!
OK, but is there any reason why you moved the page name away from the recently revealed canonical name and back to the placeholder, creating this problem to begin with? If it was just his name in the anime, you'd be in the right, but Dancing Moon Night pretty clearly uses the name, in English letters and everything, in the trailers. I'd like to know your logic before we get into a move war or the like.
What? No, that's not what I mean. I'm just leaving the decision to rename the page to admins, I thought something so major like that only could be done by you guys. Well, I'm truly sorry if you saw me as someone who caused unnecessary problems, I was only trying to help everything to sort the new trailer's information to be added in the wiki properly.
Ah, no problem! I just felt it was weird that you suddenly moved back the page with, as far as I could tell, no discernible reason (since you didn't give a move reason) and wanted to know if you had some reason we could work out. But yeah, that's fair enough reasoning!
For the record, I'm all for moving it but I am literally a single voice and there seems to be some contention to the idea, so let's see how it goes.
Even though I'm just a regular user, I do admit to not liking the name provided by the anime. At the same time though, we all might end up warming to the name used in the anime if they use it in a hypothetical Persona 5 Arena.
As someone who uses Monobook primarily...it doesn't do anything. Swapping over to Oasis, I notice...while it looks visually appealing, it actually is HARDER to navigate due to displaying less items per page. Honestly, the categories aren't the place to be getting fancy, they are an organization tool first and foremost. That's my take. Count me for no.
Hi Otherarrow. Please see the discussion on Portable Infobox on my Message Wall and let us know your opinion if we should proceed or halt this feature to our Wiki. Also, I plan to make Inpursuit one of the admins for works that might require staff privileges.
It would seem that The Truthful Knight is trying to make good on his little threat to make his own wiki... by directly plagiarizing content from ours. I've submitted a special:contact report but I don't really know what to do from there.
Ah, I see. Then yeah, I actually think it's best to report. As for what to do from there on I suppose is just to wait and do nothing since I doubt you can ask the wikia mods to ban him from making new wikis or ban him from ever editing here (even though the block is enough to do that). So, yeah, I guess the only thing you can do is wait for the other wiki to just be deleted.
I personally would like to see some sort of Megami Tensei wiki that collect fan analysis aka a MegaTen Fan Analysis Wiki. I mean, there's a myriad of interpretations and speculations out there and we had to sift through all that one by one to make sure we only carry developer canon - that in itself can already be like a Wiki on its own.
But even if the other wiki turns into a speculation kind of wiki it would become more of a mess than the people putting speculations here. One example would be the whole sexuality thing with Naoto and Kanji, there many speculations and theories regarding those two which will become an article with opposing and contradiction speculations and theories that may clash with the info we have here.
I think a wiki that is literally copy/paste from another wiki, Wikia or no, made solely because the new wiki's founder was banned from the prior wiki for bad behavior...yeah I think that violates the rules? Like, I know Wikia's content is under license but this definitely stinks of bad faith and might just be confusing for readers.
Honestly, between bad faith wiki making/editing and harassment across wikia (he stalked me over to the FE Wiki as well) I'd honestly consider just asking staff to permaban him from the service entirely. Is that too extreme?
And upon further inspection as to why I couldn't see the pages his plagiarized anymore, it would appear that he's abused his admin rights to block myself and Otherarrow on his rip-off wiki, even though we've never edited there.
It appears now he's trying to hide the fact that he's ripping content. As I can't see the pages through Recent Activity/Recent Changes as I normally would be able to.
