Ozawa is an important character and also an antagonist in Shin Megami Tensei.

Appearances[]

Profile[]

Shin Megami Tensei[]

In Shin Megami Tensei, he is one of the gang members who beats up the Chaos Hero in his first appearance, after which he swears revenge. Later on, Ozawa becomes Gotou's right-hand man so that he can eventually gain his political and military power for himself.

After the ICBM barrage, Ozawa appears as the ruler of Shinjuku and has aged considerably. He made a pact with a strong demon, Minakata, to keep the weak demons at bay, after which he rules over the people of Shinjuku, giving them peace and stability but under the oppression enforced by his Secret Police. The party tries to fight Take-Minakata, but are almost killed, leading the Chaos Hero to fuse with a demon to gain the strength to fight him. Afterwards, surely enough, they defeat Minakata, but then the protagonist must choose whether to finish him off or spare him. Whichever choice he makes, Ozawa is killed by the Chaos Hero.

The A-Mode DDS Visionary Item Balisong reveals that Ozawa was a Yakuza gang member and he used the Demon Summoning Program to overthrow the Yakuza boss & take over Shinjuku. The Black Mask reveals that he captured the Soul Diver to twist and brainwash people's minds should they oppose his rule.

Shin Megami Tensei II[]

The deceased soul of Ozawa makes a minor appearance in Virochana's dungeon, where he tells of his story and his fate. His gang also makes a minor appearance, saying that Ozawa abandoned them and that they were killed by the Great Cataclysm.

Shin Megami Tensei: Kahn[]

Ozawa appears as a subordinate of Gotou, stalking and eventually capturing Nobu to bring him before Gotou. He accompanies Nobu when he feels Yumi Shirakawa is in danger. During the conflict at the school, a demon destroys both his arm and leg. He is still in recovery when the military attacks Gotou.
