PlayStation Vita (プレイステーション・ヴィータ, Pureisutēshon Vīta)?, also known as "PSVita" or "PSV", is a handheld game console by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the successor to the PlayStation Portable as part of the PlayStation family of gaming devices. It was released in Japan and parts of Asia on December 17, 2011, Europe and the Americas on February 22, 2012 and in Australia on February 23, 2012.

The PSVita is fully backwards compatible, and all PSP games can be downloaded from the PlayStation Network. In addition, the following PS1 Classics are also available:

Limited Edition Edit

A special Limited Edition was announced on August 24, 2012 for Persona 4 which included a special case with a Persona 4 theme, the copy of the game and a case for the Vita. Only 10,000 models were made.
