Proof about the movie influencing this demon?[]

Where is the source? There's an african myth about Orion you know, and Betelgeuse was a lion in that myth, watching on some zebras Orion failed to hit, something along those lines. BOXN 20:39, April 10, 2012 (UTC)

Just for future reference for whoever hasn't seen Beetlejuice:

Beetlejuice

It's pretty blatant, actually, the only difference s being color scheme, the mask, and polka-dots instead of stripes.

I'll be acting a bit conceited here, I have seen the movie, I'm not that young or stupid, just suspicious. Good that you put that here, however it's unlikely most people will question it. Sorry. --BOXN 05:52, June 8, 2012 (UTC)
Also I remember Betelgeuse being referring to as Beetlejuice too. I can't remember if it was bad translation or it was Japanese or what but it makes sense regardless. -- Zahlzeit 15:52, June 8, 2012 (UTC)
Regarding the above, I haven't seen the entire movie, but from what I remember, "Betelgeuse" is the character's name (and is shown spelled out), and has Lydia guess his name by showing her a beetle and a glass of juice, hence "Beetlejuice." Tim Burton probably did get the name from the myth or star of the same name, though. 99.122.192.139 03:27, June 9, 2012 (UTC)
