Confidant Ranking[]
what if any is the cut off date for being able to lvl up the confidant rank. Haru you cant do until october 30th that asssuming you have the right lvl of proficency. Im personally in late november just reaching the lvl needed. If you get around that time in the story you know what happens so is there time to go back to regular life or is that just it?{{SUBST:User:Salubri/Sig|14:15,4/22/2017}}
Would it not be a good idea to list which stat you need to unlock certain Confidants?
Moon Confidant[]
Hey, I have a question. In the trivia it states that the Sun Confidant is the only one that knows the protagonist is a PT before completion, but iirc at the beginning, Mishima - the Moon Confidant, recognized him and Ryuji (possibly) as PT before making the contract because of their promise of "handling" the situation, not to mention Akira contacts him about Mementos missions, so wouldn't he fall under the same category as well? Availability Table[]
The availability table is harder to read than it needs to be, since each individual day is split between Day and Night.
- There is no confidant that is both on a fixed schedule and is available during both day and night phases (Mishima is presumably available in either Day or Night phases, but he's not on a fixed schedule).
- The confidants that are on a fixed schedule keep the same day/night availability in the general case (the exception that proves the rule is Tae Takemi with an intimate relationship - she does not change to an evening slot until you've reached intimacy, at which point the player has done this to themself).
My proposal is to consolidate Day/Night availability into a single "Default Day/Night" column, with Igor/Morgana/The Twins/Mishima/Sae being marked as "Both" - this would reduce the number of columns needed for the availability table, as well as make it easier to see "when" you need to visit a given confidant.
Separately from the above, I would suggest renaming "Rain Day/Night" to "Rain OK" - rain does not change a confidant's time-of-day, just their availability in general.
(With that said, these proposals are based on the confidants' behaviors in Royal. Presumably the table cleanup would echo back for the base game's availability table but I haven't checked that for certainty)
- Sorry for the delayed response. I'm not sure what you mean. I'm unable to comprehend much about how Confidant availability works on rainy days, so I'll need to study it a little more. I understand that you're suggesting that Rainy days only block availability for certain Confidants. But as for the Day/Night data, are you saying the Confidants are always available on specific days of the week, and the time of day is always the same? Availability Cooldown[]
Wanted to make an experiment with cooldowns because I think it only applies to certain situations. NOTE: Cooldown expires 3 days later. i.e. hang out with Confidant on Monday, they'll only be available on Thursday.

For my third run, I want to try not doing the Confidant at all, seeing if she's available every day so far. I've listed all the data in the table above. So apparently hanging out does not influence availability? Ohya's schedule is particularly confusing because she's unavailable 3 days. There's the problem of not knowing what the key date is, but there's also the problem of how Ohya was unavailable twice in a row in the beginning of December. So I'll write some theories:
- Unavailability is Calendar-based: every 3 days, starting from a specific day.
- Unavailability is based on when Confidant is initiated:
- If unavailability is Calendar-based, then it's very likely the days the Confidant is unavailable is every 3rd day. If the month has 31 days, move the pattern 1 day forward (4,7,10), but also keep the 3rd day of the month locked.
