    Shadow Naoto

    Shadow Naoto represents the reversed Fortune Arcana. The reversed Fortune indicates mounting misfortune and a feeling that everything possible is going wrong. It also reflects one who is egotistical. Naoto's feelings of misfortune partially reflect the case (new twists eliminating plausible theories, one after another), but are mostly stemming from her growing frustration at being treated like a child. The less she feels she is taken seriously, the more she becomes obsessed with the case and the more she tries to prove her competence, which only leads to her being taken even less seriously.     Shadow Rise

    In the same manner as the other Shadows, Shadow Rise represents the reverse of her counterpart's arcana, namely the Lovers. The reversed Lovers represent false love, emotional loss, being unable to forget the past, and feeling helpless. False love is clearly shown through the idea of a stripper, exposing herself trying to make others love, but others only love what they see. Emotional loss stems from Rise quitting the showbiz career; though she hides it, she secretly misses the attention.

    Furthermore Rise feels that she is haunted by her past of fame, being unable to escape from it, and believing that she will never be able to live a normal life. Shadow Rise's ability to use scan at…

    due to the mods removing each of the p4 symbolisms of the shadow selves, I have decided to put them here as a reference (however feel free to make your own interpretations)

    will be splitting this into three parts 

    Shadow Yosuke

    Shadow Yosuke appears as an animated frog with a whimsical body on top, an allusion of a proverb "frog in the well". Yosuke's Shadow represents his animosity toward living in a confined country town, as well as his wish for something of interest to happen. Shadow Yosuke, like the rest of the shadows to come, represents the reverse of his Arcana, the Magician. The reversed Magician represents one with power, but who is cruel and misuses that power.
